Prime Minister Edi Rama stopped today in Durrës in the newly completed urban park in the area of Porto Romano, where he stated that a few years ago the place was a big wound of the coastal city.
Rama said that the transformation is visible from the waste that used to be burned and consumed by animals, as it will soon be revived by all those young men and women who want to be active in sports, but also by families on their days off.
“It is a special pleasure to come here because here is a meaningful overview of the transformation that we want for Durrës, that we want for Albania.
Here is a place that until a few years ago was a great blight of the city of Durrës, the garbage collection field for many decades, which had turned into a stage where foreign television crews came to shoot and make gloomy chronicles on Albania.
“Today it is a reality, not 99 but 100% different, completely transformed, turned from a space where there was only trash and animals, into a space that will soon be alive with all those young people who will want to pass
some of their time in an environment that is as close as it is outside the city, that is, among greenery and undisturbed by the noise and pollution of cars”, said Rama.
