Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama participated in the high-level meeting with the presence of ambassadors accredited to Albania, on the process of deepening reforms of good governance, rule of law and anti-corruption.

He stated that there have been attempts to hinder the process of membership in the European Union, alluding that “the prime minister has a dark plan to block the SPAK special prosecution”.

Rama stated: “From well-wishers to critics, they have no idea of the phase of negotiations for EU membership at all, because this phase is dizzying in terms of the concrete tasks that the Republic of Albania must carry out, not only the government.

“Someone spreads accusations of efforts to hinder the process and justice reform. But the EU does not forgive anything, when it comes to the standards and criteria that a state must meet, there is no geopolitics or favours. This process is a blessing for building Europe here in Albania, it is fortunate that we are in the center of Europe and not in Afghanistan because we have a special commission, a whole group of experts who bring their knowledge.

“Today, Albania is the first country in the region for public procurement and to reach this conclusion the EU, which is not a German newspaper, uses an instrument that has never been contested to date, experts who analyze countries,” Rama said among other things.
