The Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, has fired the Mayor of Vau i Dejes, after several employees of the municipality attacked the police officers and threw Molotov bombs.
Rama said that Zef Hila, the Mayor of Vau i Dejes, not only was fired, but he will also be criminally prosecuted for the barbarian act of burning a school and electoral materials.
The Prime Minister said that the same thing will happen to anyone who tries anything similar.
“Any Mayor who attacks schools that are being used as voting centers, with the ridiculous and thuggish effort to stop elections by closing doors, should better read the criminal code and restrain themselves before they are sent to the hands of justice”, Rama said.
“The only one to blame for the situation of Mayors are their four leaders, who decided to not enter the elections”, Rama said.
