The Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, declared that the opposition’s
accusations against the government for having ties with the drug
traffickers, is in fact a defense of their own interests.
Rama said that the government has blocked billions of Euros in drugs that used to go somewhere and today they go nowhere. Rama said that by using the opposition’s logic, then the opposition must be completely tied to the industry of this criminal activity.
“There is a tragic equal proportion of the good results by the police and of the mud the opposition tries to throw on them. The more they fight and risk their lives against this criminal industry, the more mud has been thrown against them through the media and Parliament. Could this be just a political attack? Aren’t there other methods for this? There is no government in the world to be so perfect that the opposition is forced to make up stories against them. This is not a political attack, because we are talking about billions of Euros that used to go somewhere. This operation has damaged their interests, because they did nothing to make it disappear. Beyond the media and the declarations, I trust to the people who is a witness of this absurd theater, in which the police has fought as never before against the drug traffic and corruption”, the Prime Minister declared.
Rama said that their duty today is to not listen those who throw mud against the moral figure of man. Rama concluded his speech by saying that all the results were shown today in front of everyone and received the approval of the biggest partners, the ambassadors of the countries that helped most in this fight. “I don’t think that they lied and I don’t think they will include even the US Ambassador under the decriminalization law”, Rama declared.
