Prime Minister Edi Rama was received today in an official ceremony at the Presidential Complex by the President of the Republic of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
Prime Minister Rama’s first stop was at Anitkabir, the Mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder and first President of the Republic of Turkey.
After the special welcoming ceremony, Rama and Erdogan will hold a bilateral meeting between them.
Then Rama and the Turkish President will lead the High Level Cooperation Meeting between the two countries, with the participation of some of the ministers of the respective government cabinets.
In the framework of further strengthening of cooperation between Turkey and Albania, several bilateral agreements and memorandums of understanding will be signed in the field of environment, defense, media and communication, etc.
Along with PM Rama was the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure and Energy Belinda Balluku; Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Igli Hasani; Minister of Defense Niko Peleshi; Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Anila Denaj; Minister of Health and Social Protection Albana Koçiu; Minister of Education and Sports Ogerta Manastirliu; as well as the Minister of Tourism and Environment Mirela Kumbaro.
