PM meets President

06/12/2012 00:00

The Albanian Prime Minister, Sali Berisha, visited today the Albanian President for more than 40 minutes.

This is the first meeting between the President and the PM filmed by Top Channel, after Berisha had a very cold relationship with the former President, Bamir Topi. It’s still unknown what the Prime Minister has been talking about with President Nishani, since no comment was given for the media.

This meeting was held in a time when some high appointments were suspended, such as the vacant place left behind by Adriatic Llalla at the High Inspectorate of Declaration and Audit of Assets, while he joins the General Prosecution, and the vacancies created by the eight members that were elected by the High Council of Justice for the new Electoral College, led by President Nishani.

Berisha has met Nishani several times, sine his election, but nothing has been reported by the media, besides that the meetings are part of the institutional cooperation.

The collaborators of the former presidents, Alfred Moisiu and Bamir Topi, showed that in all cases when these two former presidents held meetings with the Prime Minister, press relation office published announcements on the Presidency’s web page, together with the goal of the meeting.
