The police, the army and civil emergencies are continuing their rescue operations in the southern areas of our country.
The situation seems more dramatic in Fier and Novosela. Fortunately, no victim has been registered so far, but the damage are expected to be huge.
The Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, accompanied by the Minister of Interior, Saimir Tahiri, visited the flooded areas.
Rama appealed the residents to leave immediately to a safer place, since the situation might get worse in the upcoming hours.
The residents of flooded homes have found shelter at their relatives, while the authorities have distributed food and drinking water.
