Linda Rama: Between Family, Work and Albania’s Future The leader of the Party for Justice, Integration and Unity, asked the
Prime Minister and the Tirana Mayor to keep their promise and build a
new mosque in Albania’s capital.
The PJIU leader, part of the current majority, declared that many properties were taken away from this community and were turned into state institutions. For him, it is unjustifiable that the project has been blocked because there is no space.
“Prime Minister Sali Berisha and Mayor of Tirana, Lulzim Basha, have given several public declarations. If there are property problems, we are ready to propose compensation with state owned properties. Many public institutions were built on the properties of this community, and they have not been compensated”, Idrizi declared.
Idrizi expressed his conviction that the Cham resolution will find approval from the Parliament. The project is being reviewed by the Foreign Affairs Commission and after the review will be over, the resolution will go for discussion under the Conference of Chairmen in Parliament, according to the PJIU leader.
