Pipero: No child births in private clinics

Private gynecological clinics in our country are not allowed to perform
child birth. This can only be done in state maternities or private
hospitals that have the respective license.
Director of Policy Department at the Health Ministry, Pellumb Pipero, declared that gynecological clinics can follow the course of the nine months pregnancy, performing ultrasounds and different checks, but child births are handled only in hospitals and maternities.
“Aborts can be made until the 12th week of pregnancy, with the desire of the woman, or until the 22nd week of pregnancy if the mother has had health problems”, Pipero declared.
Before the truth of Griselda Rroshi case had come out, Pipero explained that it seemed impossible that an Albanian doctor would undertake such an intervention in abnormal conditions.
Although a pregnant mother can give birth at home, or any illegal place that might exist, Pipero declared that the task force established by order of the Health Minister controls the conditions and parameters of all private clinics in the country.
