Dodes village.
The residents did not agree to supply drinking water for the Peshkopia residents, arguing that they will have no irrigation water for themselves.
There was no agreement achieved, even after many meetings between the residents of both communities and the state structures. The residents of the area did not welcome the presence of the police.
The town of Peshkopia passed the entire summer season without tap water. This situation was abused by some residents, who have profited by selling it. Peshkopia municipality wants the problem to be solved, but after all efforts were in vain, they asked the intervention of the police. Peshkopia has still remained without water, since the works are still underway.
The problem with the running water was mentioned a few days ago even by the Peshkopia Mayor, Ilir Krosi. The residents of Kala e Dodes do not want their sources to be used by the Aqueduct, arguing that they are the only water sources that they have for irrigation.
