The office of the Commissioner for the Personal Data Protection declared
that private schools do not implement their legal obligations.

Ten of them were fined by this authority, which also made public some sanctions taken against foreign companies that operate in Albania.

Problems for protecting the personal data, according to the Commissioner, have been noticed by the National Center of Blood Transfusion, the Agency of Legalisation Urbanisation and Integration of Informal Zone/Building and Albtelecom.

The Public Relation director of the Commissioner appealed all state and private subjects to notify the data that they are processing, or they will face fines.

“These amends increase the fines by 10 times, hence we appeal all subjects to inform the commissioner for the data that they have, or there will be sanctions”, declared Igli Pirra.

The Commission has also fined the Sami Frasheri, Jordan Misja, Petro Nini and Abdulla Keta schools.
