One week after the accident at the Gurra Mine, the Minister of Energy
and Industry, Damian Gjiknuri, ordered the revoking of the mining permit
for the “Yzo Shpk”.
The Mine Inspection-Salvation Unit investigated the case and found that the technical situation of the gallery was very bad.
The inspection team asked Minister Gjiknuri to halt the works in the mine and cancel the mining permits for the administering firm.
