People offer solidarity for Dizdari family

People aided with money, food, clothes and even a monthly pension of 20.000 ALL for one year, while many citizens keep helping in different ways.

The Dizdari family celebrates Bayram and Christmas too, and this New Year will have a slightly warmer atmosphere.

The images that showed barefooted children who were fed with only bread and salt, looked like coming from Migjeni’s poem “Misery”, and the housing conditions were the same as in the middle ages.

After the news report was published by “Top Media”, many Albanians from even from the USA, Greece, Italy and England joined their contribution to provide food, clothes and even toys for the children.

Many phone calls have arrived in Top Media studios, with many people expressing their desire to help the family. There was a considerable help even from the Foreign Ministry, and this is the first time that this institution undertakes such an initiative, gathering in a few days a considerable amount of food and clothes not only for the children.

The representative of the Foreign Ministry, Armando Shandro, who handed over the aids, declared for Shqip that after the news, the entire staff from the Ministry was mobilized and that he hopes that this will facilitate the life of this family.

Other contribution came from “Compassion Help Center” association in cooperation with Top Channel and Shqip. Fejzi Shaholli, representative of this association, declared: “We are a humane association and after seeing their difficult situation through Top Channel and Shqip, we organized the collection of the contribution and brought them to Puka.”

The “European Oculist Clinic” in Tirana has granted a 20.000 ALL monthly pension for one entire year 2013.

Mrs.Drenusha Prelvukaj nd her company in New York sent 1000 EUR.

Citizen Kastriot Hoxha from Shkoder sent 500 EUR.

An emigrant from Italy has sent 50 EUR.

An Albanian student from England, an emigrant from Greece and many other citizens throughout Albania keep contributing to the Dizdari family, to which this help seems unbelievable.

The father of the family, Besnik Dizdari; his wife Dava Dizdari and his 71-year-old mother, Bube Dizdari, cannot hold their tears and constantly hug and embrace every one that comes to contribute.

Besnik thanks everyone and told to Shqip newspaper that he never thought that people could help to this extent. He added that it was so unbelievable that he couldn’t sleep or eat. He says that he has never received help in his entire life, and that now he will have more hope, after a period when he had even considered suicide when his children asked him to eat and he had nothing to give them.

His 71-year-old mother says that she feared she would die seeing the children of her family eating only bread and salt. She thanks everyone and wishes for all of them to be repaid by God.

The three children, Besada, Rikardo and Emiliano have now better clothes and different toys to play with, and their food is not just bread and salt anymore.
