A protest called by the civil society took place today in the city of Shkodra for the murder of Klodian Rasha by a police officer at the beginning of the month in Tirana.
Unlike the violent protests of a week ago, turnout was lower and thankfully no incidents were reported.
Protesters again called for the dismissal of Albanian police head Ardi Veliu and demanded justice for the scandalous murder of 25-year-old Klodian Rasha.
In the incidents of a week ago where some protesters caused incidents and even set fire to the headquarters of the ruling Socialist Party in Shkodra.
This time the police had taken protection of important institutions such as the Prefecture of Shkodra and the Municipality.
Police said they had detained several teenagers in possession of firearms.
