For Kadri Veseli, the leader of the Kosovo Democratic Party (PDK), the result of the October 22nd elections was very positive.
“This is a success. We are very strong in most of the communes, heading the race. We can also be declared winners of these elections, after the central elections of June 11th, which weren’t that good. This is a very positive comeback”, said Kadri Veseli, leader of the PDK.
Veseli said he is convinced that they will win the 10 runoffs, while he accepts that they lost Prishtina. He is not sure, however, if PDK will help the Self-Determination or the LDK in Prishtina.
“PDK will help itself and Prishtina. We lost 30.000 ballots with this result. It’s not the result we expected. This is an electoral race and we respect everyone, but we will watch the party interests that we now have as a party”, Veseli added.
TCH: You don’t exclude helping one of both?
Kadri Veseli: We don’t exclude anyone. I don’t exclude in politics. I try to seek partnerships with everyone.
As for the result, Veseli said it will make the party stronger. “With the coalition partners we have 50% of the Albanian electorate. 320.000 ballots altogether with PDK, AAK and NISMA”, Veseli declared.
