Pavli voted to represent Albania at the PACE

The Parliamentary Assembly for the Council of Europe (PACE) has appointed Darian Pavli as the judge who will represent Albania at the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg.

Pavli will have a nine-year term that will start no later than three months after his appointment.

The Judges are selected from a list of three nominated candidates, voted by every state that has ratified the European Convention of Human Rights.

Pavli received 98 votes out of 170. 13 ballots were invalidated. His rivals were Sokol Berberi, with 13 votes, and Marjana Semini, with 59 votes.

Pavli will replace Ledio Bianku in this post.
