Passports for Albanians who live in London

The Albanians who live in the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland
will be able to apply for the new biometric passports at the Albanian
embassy in London.

This is the new project that the Albanian Ambassador in Britain, Mal Berisha, who has just taken his duty and who is trying to convince  the officials in Tirana that the number of Albanians who live in Britain is sufficient to justify the opening of an office in London.

Berisha says for Top Channel that the goal is to help the Albanian citizens same as in Rome, Milano or Athens.

The Embassy asked the Albanian residents in Britain to send an email to [email protected] if they want to receive a biometric passport.

The requests will be anonymous, and this will help avoiding any fear of the Albanians in Britain who have been registered as Kosovo Albanians but who have received British passports. In fact, no British citizenship has ever cancelled by the British authorities.

The online application starts on March 8th and ends on April 8th, and this will also help for studying the economic feasibility.

Top Channel raised a similar concern one month ago, and it seems that the news has fallen in the attentive ears of the new Albanian diplomat in London, Mr. Mal Berisha. If this office would open in London, it would be good news for the Albanians who live there.
