Parliamentary Commission meeting for Justice Reform

The main parliamentary forces started the political dialogue for the justice reform.

The members of the commission have been discussing for more than one hour behind closed doors, regarding matters that need political consensus.

Official sources say for Top Channel that the parties have reaches some consensus about the National Bureau of Investigation, a structure created to fight high-level corruption.

Sources add that the parties have agreed for the Bureau of Investigation to be under the dependence of the Special Prosecution, which will not depend from the Prosecutor General.

The compromise was reached by establishin this structure, among the most important of the reform, under the dependence of the High Council of the Prosecution.

In this meeting were discussed nine other matters, and the most difficult one to be negotiated is the composition of the Council of Justice Appointments, a new structure that taken under its competence almost every institution of the judiciary and the Prosecution.
