The MPs who left the Socialist Party have made it possible for the
majority to pass the Presidential decrees with 72 votes in favour.

Kastriot Islami, Asllan Dogjani and Gjovalin Kadeli united their votes with the 69 MPs of the Democratic and PJIU parties, to appoint Halim Kosova as Health Minister, Aldo Bumci as Foreign Minister, Florjon Mima as Minister of Economy and Visar Zhiti as Minister of Culture.

The Socialist Movement for Integration abstained.

The 72 votes confirm to Berisha that Rama’s party will still remain a minority.

“We thank the MPs for this historic vote that stopped a primitive effort from Rama to create an interim government. SP started it as a minority and is ending it as a minority”, Berisha declared.

The UHRP leader, Vangjel Dule, votes the same as the opposition, although the party he leads has not decided if they will be part of the opposition’s coalition.
