Parliament honours former Prime Ministers

For the 100th year of independence, the Albanian Parliament honoured the
former Prime Ministers of Albania in the last 20 years and other
figures that contributed in the modern history.
Parliament Speaker Jozefina Topalli declared that these are the years of our state’s contribution and the honouring of the figures that confronted difficult situations in times where the fate of the state was in play.
Topalli honoured the Prime Ministers Vilson Ahmetaj, Ylli Bufi, Fatos Nano, Aleksander Meksi, Bashkim Fino, Pandeli Majko and Ilir Meta.
The Parliament also honoured other figures that have passed away, such as Azem Hajdari, Ibrahim Rugova, Adem Jashari and Pjeter Arbnori.
