Linda Rama: Between Family, Work and Albania’s Future Integration in the EU and what the Albanian political class must do for
fulfilling the 12 priorities spurred new debates in the Parliamentary
Session.
The Socialist Parliamentary Group leader, Gramoz Ruci, invited the majority to cooperate for resolving the political crisis, but according to him there is no signal yet.
“We have been asking since 2009 for this political crisis to end, a crisis that has closed the doors of the European Union. We want to negotiate, but all that you say in response is that the opposition must cooperate. The problems of the Parliamentary system were not created by the opposition”, Ruci declared.
The Democratic Parliamentary Group leader, Astrit Patozi underlined that the majority will not make any bargain for the integration.
“This is not a tender. The cooperation for the integration reforms must not be made for profit. We invite you to cooperate”, Patozi declared.
The Parliament Speaker, Jozefina Topalli, declared that they must fulfill an important EU agenda before the European Commission publishes Albania’s progress report.
“The EU candidate status depends from the opposition, and Albania’s integration could be impeded without their vote”, Topalli declared, underlining that the integration doesn’t accept conditions, but agreements for increasing the progress standards.
