Panic in Tirana as an unusually strong 6 magnitude earthquake shook every building.
Citizens left buildings and went on the roads.
“Fortunately, we were on the third floor and we didn’t feel the tremors. Imagine being in the last floor. It would have been scarier. We will be getting back. The situation may be calmer. Let’s hope there are no other tremors”, says a foreigner.
“We are out because earthquakes get followed by another. We are waiting outside for the moment”, said another one.
A video filmed live on Top Channel’s morning show went viral.
“We were on air. I thought it was a small one but when I saw plates falling from the shelves behind me I thought we should leave. Helping the lady get out with me was an instinct, because I was thinking at that moment about my daughter at the kindergarten”, said host Florian Agalliu.
