The Greek Foreign Minister, Dimitris Avramopullos held a phone conversation with his Albanian homologue, Edmond Panariti.
According to the Greek Foreign Ministry, both Ministers discussed about the mutual relations, Albania’s EU integration and regional issues.
They focused on matters of the Greek minority in Albania and a series of technical issues. Sources from the Greek Foreign Ministry stated for Top Channel that the dialogue was in a positive climate.
Both parties agreed to increase contacts in order to improve the good relations even more, although the recent climate has been a little colder after the Albanian Constitutional Court cancelled the maritime sea border agreement with Greece, and after the problems created by the Census and the OMONIA’s decision to register the minorities partially.
Avramopulos invited his Albanian homologue in Athens, a visit that might take place during the first 10 days of September.
