The vice leader of the Socialist Movement for Integration, Petrit
Vasili, mentioned the Panama Papers issue by underlining that naturally
there is attention about whatever is related to our country.
“As you know, there is also information coming from international media, saying that Albanian segments are involved in this acse. I think that the Albanian authorities should be very attentive to investigate every information”, Vasili declared.
He valued that it is clear that the illega sources and the money laundering methods, or tax evasion, have in these environments the possibility to deviate money. These are obligations to the Albanian tax office, that’s where the investigations should expand”, Vasili said.
But, he added: “We must take in consideration the fact that one of the recent information is related to a specific activity, related to the concession”.
“Exactly for this reason I think that the concrete initiative undertaken by a group of MPs from the Socialist Movement for Integration will help improve the concession law, especially for increasing transparency and raise public awareness”, Vasili declared.
