Pacolli appears in the government

Behgjet Pacolli, who boycotted the government meetings until a
clarification of his competences, appeared this Thursday at the Kosovo
Parliament with the title of Vice Prime Minister of the Government.

But yet, it remains unclear if he is Thaçi’s first Vice Prime Minister or not, because he did not sit on the seat of the second person in charge.

But for Pacolli, this does not matter. His demands were met by the Thaçi government, which give him additional competencies at the departments of lobbing, foreign investment attraction and law implementation.

A task force will be established in order to coordinate his works in these departments.
“I will be part of this task force and I am sure that we will not be lacking of success”, Pacolli declared.

In theory, Behgjet Pacolli has replaced Hajredin Kuçi, who was Vice Prime Minister even in the second mandate of the Thaçi government. Practically, with the creation of this task force, Pacolli receives competences from all departments.

“The three are connected: the lobbing, the foreign investors’ attraction and law implementation. These three departments will create a law that is called ‘task force’ and we will work on it”, Pacolli underlined.

Asked on the further recognitions of the Kosovo independence, Pacolli declared that the political situation has impeded his lobbing activity, but he said that Pakistan and Bangladesh are expected to recognize Kosovo soon.
