The Democratic Party accused the Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, of
starting a repression wave through overprices power bills issued by the
Energy Distribution Operator.
“The bills are charged based on Edi Rama’s need to feed his budget, not absed on consumption. 91.400 citizens complained during the past year for overcharged bills. Their preferred prey are families who save energy. When their meter shows less consumption, Edi Rama’s gang takes them to a higher price system. Beach homes have also been attacked. Although without consumption, relatives discover high fees, as if their consumption was normal. Residents of immigrants too are closed. This is an abuse, an appeal for civilian disobedience”, said Ina Zhupa, spokesperson for the Democratic Party.
