“Summer 2016” is the name of a special operation by Tirana Police officers, who seized 5,1 kg of heroine and arrested two men while another two are declared wanted. Fadil Bami, native ov Nikel, Krujë, and Eduart Gjata, 39, resident in Tirana, will be prosecuted for production of narcotics and production and possession of weapons and ammunitions.
The operation was conducted on 15:30 on Tuesday, while investigations have lasted at least two months, discovering that the two arrested men have been cooperating in selling heroin in the city. They were under surveillance from special operations officers and were arrested while conducting the sale. After first valuation, the narcotic seized had a value of nearly half a million Euros.
Police also inspected the house of Fadil Bami, where it found automatic weapons and ammunition, also seized with “Wolkswagen” car in his possession. On the other hand, police did not disclose the names of the two wanted men, in order not to compromise ongoing investigations.
