Osum Hydropower plants, decision up to the Ministry of Environment

The Albanian government has reacted for the first time after Top Channel reported the construction plan of two hydropower plans on the Osum River.

The Ministry of Energy declared that they asked the Ministry of Environment to verify the permit of both hydropower plants.

Minister Damian Gjiknuri declared that if the environment permit is irregular, the Ministry of Infrastructure will cancel the project.

The Ministry says they are ready to also establish a joint working group for verifying the case.
