Order and security on Election Day

The Vice Chief of State Police, Muhamet Rrumbullaku, informed media that
6237 police agents will be on the field to guaranty order and security
during the election process and vote-counting process.

Rrumbullaku declared that State Police has guaranteed the security of 1263 electoral activities, with 9810 police officers in duty.

“There have been 63 incidents, directly or indirectly connected to the election process. 44 of them have been investigated and solved, and meanwhile we are working for the 16 other cases”, Rrumbullaku said.

Asked by the journalists on the so called “hot spots” of the electoral process, Mr. Rrumbullaku declared that there will be specific measures especially designed for these areas.

“We have applied special measures for Kamza municipality and Municipality Unit no. 6, which will guarantee the people’s right to vote in normality and a safe environment”, Rrumbullaku said.

Electoral Objects are being guarded by police forces from “Border and Migration Forces”, “Traffic Police”, “Internal Security and Ceremonies Forces” and from “Center of Police Formation”.
