The Democratic Party leader, Lulzim Basha, declared in the protest of the united opposition that the Albanian people have only one purpose, refusing the illegal government of Edi Rama.

“On your behalf and on behalf of the opposition, we demand Edi Rama and his illegal government to leave. We need to create an anti-mafia government that fights crime and advances with the judiciary reform based on the Constitution of Albania so that we can have free and fair elections. This solemn act is the popular decision of this government”, Basha declared.

The Democratic Party leader added that a new relationship is being established today between the opposition and the Albanian citizens.

“A new relation between political forces and free citizens is being established today.  Today, the agreement of June 25th dies, and politics that keeps a stolen, purchased and robbed power dies with it. The power that doesn’t answer to citizens and their will dies today. This is the decision, the call of a people who were denied their right to vote because the narco-government of Edi Rama took gangs and drug money against them. We announce the popular verdict for Edi Rama and his gang in power. Thousands of citizens gathered one year ago in this square to stop the evil. Today we are much more than on February 18th. Even those who stood away back then now are clearly seeing that the evil is true. This evil cannot go by itself. It will not go away unless it receives no fight. We are united today for different motives, but for one purpose: to refuse the government of Edi Rama. Edi Rama, go away! We solemnly announce that we refuse to accept this gang that serves to the interests of a small group of people, turning our country into a nest of drug and crime”, Basha said.
