The Democratic Party organized a protest in front of the Parliament,
with the Parliament Members joining the crowd that chanted “Rama Go
Away”, holding various banners on their hands, while the Parliament
continued the plenary session with the presence of the majority only.

The Democratic Party Parliamentary Group leader, Edi Paloka, declared that the Democratic Party had asked today’s Parliamentary session to focus on the drug traffic issue, a request that was accepted.

“The majority is bound to make transparency in front of the citizens regarding the events of the recent days. Rama crossed any limit when he declared that there has been a conspiracy against him. The accusations raised a few days ago by us has been proven, but we want transparency now. Meta said that they were airplanes that disinfected the forest from mosquitoes. The Prime Minister declared with irony that they were mosquitoes and not airplanes. The air drug traffic exists, but the worst thing is that this was covered and the Prime Minister is implicated”, Paloka declared.

Parliament Member Aldo Bumci declared that the opposition will go to the end of this issue, until Edi Rama will be removed.

Parliament Member Strazimiri added that they are representing the opposition’s parliamentary group to guarantee that they will demand the truth in Parliament, and will not accept to be governed by drug traffickers. This is only the beginning.

After interrupting the session for some minutes, the Democratic Party Parliament Member, Mesila Doda, declared in front of the supporters that they achieved the first victory by interrupting the session to take in consideration their requests for a debate about the drug traffic. “Rama gave power to the drug traffickers, but stopped our path to Europe by building a criminal state. I ask the Democratic Party militants to resist until the government resigns”.

Gerti Bogdani asked the Prime Minister’s resignation: “This Prime Minister must leave, because he doesn’t know how to resolve problems. He must leave, because he denied the case of chemical weapons and the drug airplanes”.

Basha: Protests until Rama resigns

The Democratic Party leader, Lulzim Basha, underlined that the opposition’ protest will continue until Rama resigns.

“The drug traffic is trying to destroy every Albanian. Drugs is not using only inflatable boats, but even skies. The Albanian people feel laughed at and threatened in their daily challenge to secure their food through honest work”, Basha declared.

“The plan of this drug cartel is to buy the elections, the power, the freedom and democracy of Albanians. But they cannot do this, because the Albanian people are stronger and more united than ever. The only responsible here is Edi Rama. He has been lying for months to hide the shocking truth of the drug traffic through airplanes. The people doesn’t have the instruments to control the drug traffic, but has the instrument to send home the man who is responsible, together with his drug cartel”, Basha added.

“We started this battle to continue it each day, until Rama is held responsible and leaves”, Basha underlined.

Rama: I will resign if you prove accusations

Ram declared that he will disappear from the podium if they prove any of the accusations made in the recent days.

“I am here today because Albanians have been waiting for the legalization of their buildings for 20 years, and we will do that for free. My proposition is to close this debate and agree that I, Sali Berisha, Jozefina and everyone else who has accused me, let’s go to the Prosecution and if you can prove any of the accusations about my implication with the drug traffic, I will not only resign, but I will disappear from the podium and I will accept any punishment. If you cannot prove anything, Sali and Jozefina must disinfect our country from mosquitoes”, Rama declared.

The Head of Lazarat Commune in protest

The Head of the Lazarat Commune, member of the Democratic Party, Dasho Aliko, was present in the protest.

He said that he joined the protest because it was organized by his party.

“I am vice chairman of the Democratic Party for the Gjirokaster District, and that is why I am here”, Aliko declared.

He commented Tahiri’s declaration about seizing land properties to anyone who plants marijuana: “I am against anything illegal”.
