Sali Berisha and Ilir Meta are looking for an alibi to justify the defeat in Sunday’s elections, while they say that resignation is not in their plans.
Berisha stated today: “In the black market, the cost of buying the vote reached between 300 and 500 euros.
What is this total amount that was used to buy the vote of the Albanians? What is known is that the euro reached low levels of exchange with the lek. Therefore, these elections were bought by the narco-Euros who dictated the result.”
Ilir Meta: “Every minute new shocking facts come to light about how the mafia under the command of Edi Rama destroyed the election process, this process of alienating the vote of Albanians is being documented and we will start the process of legal opposition, but also the escalation of opposition action.
“The donkeys that Rama imposed on the Albanian citizens will not be allowed to steal peacefully, as they have done in 4 years.
The escalation of the opposition action will be done in the municipal councils.”
Nor does the loss of Shkodra, the historical bastion of the Democrats and Sali Berisha, constitute a cause for political responsibility.
Berisha: “I made an oath that the first election I lose I will resign, in the first case I said it in 2013, I said Goodbye.You may forget that I can retire except, not before the vote of the Democrats and this electoral crime.”
Sunday’s elections were boycotted by 234,000 Albanian voters and yet the socialists retained the votes of 2021. Data analysis shows that the missing votes are from the opposition.
Berisha: “For me, participation in the elections, first of all, no one can say for sure who their voters are, as according to Eurostat, 210,000 Albanians have fled the country within a year.”
Sunday’s elections resulted in an electoral defeat not only for the Berisha-Meta duo but also for the official Democratic Party led by Enkelejd Alibeaj.
The official slogan of the Democrats not only did not win in any municipality but were reduced to the third force.
