“Tomorrow, at 09:30, together with the citizens, we will underline once
again our request at the doors of the Albanian Parliament, that Ilir
Meta should resign and Edi Rama should keep his hands off the
investigations, so that we can have a thorough and uninfluenced
process”.
With this appeal, the Democratic Party invites citizens to protest in front of the Parliament early in the morning, before the plenary session starts.
With the resignation of the Parliament Speaker, the Democrats believe that there may be a more independent trial regarding the public accusations launched by Tom Doshi.
“Not only he hasn’t reflected and resigned to not obstruct justice, but in close cooperation with Edi Rama, Saimir Tahri and all the state structures, they are pressuring the Prosecution and the key witnesses. They are trying to hide the truth. We will not stop until the truth is uncovered”, declared the head of the Parliamentary Group, Edi Paloka.
Due to an official visit in Switzerland, the Parliament Speaker is not in Tirana, but this will not stop the Democratic Party from gathering and protesting.
