Seven months after the escape of Abduselam Turgut, the only institutions
that reacted for this event are the Tirana Prosecution and the Courts
that trialed the Turkish citizen in absence, for abandoning without
permission the location where he was to serve his sentence.
The High Council of Justice and the General Prosecution, which declared that they would conduct investigations for the event, have not released any declaration yet.
In an empty court room, Judge Antonela Prendi started the trial against Abduselman Turgut for abandoning without permission the location where he was to serve his sentence.
In this session was absent even the prosecutor of the case and the defensive lawyer, which will be assigned by the state, because the 44 year old is nowhere to be found.
Since the court room was occupied only by the journalists, and not the interested parties, the Judge announced the procedures that will be followed.
The Court has ordered the Albanian Police to search for the Turkish citizen, who after being arrested for trafficking drugs, did not escape from a prison cell, but from a residence without an address, in which the Court of Appeal sent him to serve his sentence of house arrest.
The Court of Appeal accepted even the pretense for not considering as an official document the e-mail of the German authorities in which they asked his extradition.
