Four days after betting shops were declared illegal, online bets on foreign websites are still operating and getting money from Albanian players.
Top Channel made a study which shows that some important websites which offer betting services are already banned in Albania when you log in from smartphones.
But not when you log in from laptops or PC desktops, in which all above-mentioned websites are functional.
Albanian online websites are closed, but experts say that blocking foreign ones is an impossible feat.
While many betting shops were closed, many others kept operating after January 1st. Police have criminally prosecuted two owners this Thursday, who kept offering their services.
