One ton of hashish seized

A 13 meters long inflatable boat with two powerful motors was found 1 km from the location where the narcotic substance was seized. Police suspects that it was prepared to be trafficked to Montenegro or Italy. According to the investigation group, its power and size could handle the length to Italy in open sea.

Confidential sources confirmed the Shkoder Police had received information through operative ways for the location of the drugs.

Police wasn’t able to find anyone at the location, while investigations are undergoing.

This is the first time that such a large quantity of drugs is seized at the Velipoja area. Police is investigating for any possible drug traffic network that has been dealing with this area.
