The Albanian citizens will not be obliged to travel to Tirana to look
for a solution from the Ombudsman. Soon there will be other offices in
the different municipalities of the country.

A project financed by the Danish government, with a value of 1.5 million EUR, will enable the strengthening of this structure in our country.

“We are talking about an important project that will affect not only the reinforcement of the Ombudsman’s capacities, but also in the reinforcement of the local administration capacities”, Igli Totozani decalred.

The Danish Ombudsman, Jorgen Steen Sorensesn, has been visiting Tirana in the last two days and has guaranteed the support of the Ombudsman in our country.

According to the Danish Ombudsman, although the problematic of the citizens of both countries is very different, the basic issues have a same essence.

“We bring our experience of how to cooperate with the administration for finding solutions to the citizens’ problems, without becoming an enemy with anyone and how to file recommendations that can be accepted by the administration”, Sorensen declared.
