Oil workers in Gorishta, Vlore, protested against the company that fired
many of them through a note sent by mail. They claim they have received
their salaries.
“They are trying to take our oil through companies that no one knows. They have created businesses with our money and have delayed our salaries”, one worker says.
“I have been working for the past 39 years, and I have received a warning for letting me go”, says another one.
The 60 workers of this site, all with many years of experience, have been fired recently.
“Our request is that we want the oil resource to be developed. The government must control this”, said Bilbil Licaj.
