One day after the Police Syndicate appealed officers to take legal
measures against the Democratic Party, which accused them of being
involved in the drug traffic, Top Channel contacted some of the
officers.

A few were in favor of suing the DP for slander, but say that this decisions needs to be decided in cooperation with higher instances at the State Police and Interior Ministry.

Others say they don’t want to so, to not become part of the daily political debate.

The opposition has accused with concrete names 30 police officials as being involved with the drug traffic. None of these officers has requested legal assistance from the syndicate, which asked the Prosecution to start verifications.

The accusations come right when the police declared they have eliminated more than 1.2 million plants of cannabis.

Another police operation in Kolonja brought the destruction of 17.000 plants. The operation was led by the Prosecution and Internal Service and Complaints, after suspecting that officers had been involved in this activity.

Contacted officially by Top Channel, official sources at the Prosecution General refused to answer if they have started any investigation.
