On May 24th, 2004, police officer Hasanpapaj was confronted with crime, exchanging fire with some car robbers, and ended up losing the use of his legs, while his colleague lost his life.

15 years later, Resmi says that besides the disability, he also had to endure very severe traumas, especially after losing his colleague.

Passion for the police has made Resmi not forget his mission. Today he helps his colleagues voluntarily, for three hours a day, at the Tirana Traffic Police.

The State Police has around 200 officers fallen on duty, and Resmi Hasanpapaj can be considered one of the living martyrs.
