Miner Muharrem Plaku is trapped in one of the galleries of Bulqiza, since Wednesday morning, while searches so far have not brought any information of his state.
In a press release, the National Mining Safety and Emergency Authority clarifies that the search for the 60-year-old continues, but requires time and care, as the lives of rescue workers are endangered by the conditions.
The missing person was alone in the space of the first basement of the gallery. Officials said that the cleaning of the material continues in the main passage but material continues to fall from the galeries’ ceiling , which makes the work difficult.
On September 15, 2021, in gallery no. 36 of the company “Kadurtex”, Muharrem Plaku, entered the area of exploitation, to knock down material but at that time there was a collapse of the mineral, which is believed to have trapped him down and blocked the entrance to the gallery.
