No police operation for Limaj’s arrest

The Kosovo Democratic Party MP, Fatmir Limaj, will present himself this
Saturday afternoon at the Kosovo Supreme Court to answer about the
“Klecka” case.

Kosovo media deny any voices implicating that the former Minister of Transports had been taken under arrest by EULEX.

A few days ago, on request of EULEX, the Supreme Court of Kosovo reopened the Klecka case, where the main suspect is Limaj and three former collaborators, Naser Shala and Naser and Nexhmi Krasniqi.

Limaj is also accused by the EULEX prosecutors for being involved in organized crime and for power abuse when he was minister of transports.

Earlier reports suggested that the EULEX police agents are conducting an operation for arresting Limaj and several other people.

The news was also published by the Serbian media “Blic” newspaper, which said that the objective of this operation was to arrest Limaj for war crimes.
