No more museums in Permet

The town of Permet has remained without a single museum, although a few years ago there were three of them.
The decisions for returning these objects to the former owners have made all valuable cultural heritage objects get out in the streets.
Hundreds of objects with historical value and priceless books of the Renaissance are currently being preserved in very bad conditions, in a self-made storage at the Cultural Center oft the town.
Mayor Gilberto Jace says that the situation is very problematic, and that they have demanded help for new premises, but they have received no answer.
According to culture specialists, the wooden and paper objects have been damaged by humidity, while dozens important paintings are in danger. The works with unrepeatable value for the national culture are stored in plastic bags, since they cannot be exhibited.
No one can be able to visit this town and meet the precious objects of the three former museums. The Municipality appealed for help during the National Independence day celebrations, by exhibiting the objects in the streets.
