No KFOR troops reduction

The USA and their allies in the NATO decided to keep unchanged the
number of their troops in Kosovo, in order to guarantee security in the
country.

The news came from the RTK, which quotes sources from Washington saying that this decision was taken in the last meeting of Foreign Ministers of NATO countries.

According to this source, the reason for this decision was the tense situation in north, before the escalation of which the alliance had thought to reduce the foreign troops with at least 2500 soldiers.

From these, 750 are US soldiers at the Bondsteel Base. In this phase there will be no withdrawal of the US troops, which have declared: “Together we came in, together we will go out”.

The US support of the KFOR troops, and especially from US forces in Kosovo, was confirmed by the US Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, during her last visit in Europe.

The same was made by the Chief of the National Guard Bureay, General Craig McKinley, during a visit in the Bondsteel Base.
