07/07/2016 00:00

The Democratic Party did not publish the communication e-mails with the
US Embassy, but MP Oerd Bylykbashi answered indirectly to the US
Ambassador, and said that “the DP has changed the proposition made by
OPDAT, EURALIUS and the Venice Commission, the Reserved Spots”,
according to Bylykbashi.

The opposition did not support the other model that Ambassador Lu mentioned in the document for the MPs, the only transferable vote that is described by the Ambassador as one of the models that fulfills Article 88 of the Venice Commission and that the support of the majority.

“This formula is exposed to political corruption that would make votes trafficable. This would be an essential hit to the credibility of the justice reform”, Bylykbashi said.

The Socialist Party answered by saying that the only new thing brought by the DP is that they want to keep the international members out of the vetting.
