Linda Rama: Between Family, Work and Albania’s Future On the 15th anniversary of the opening of the Law School, President
Bujar Nishani asked more trust to justice not only from the citizens,
but also from their members. By promoting the positive values of the
people with high moral and professional integrity, Nishani underlined
that this is the only way to return the trust to the judges themselves.
“This is a responsibility of the institutions of our country, the High Council of Justice, the President and other leaders within the justice system, such as the Court Presidents and the Civil Society, as a mechanism for exerting positive pressure to all other institutions, so that they can address to the standards and criteria for returning the trust to our judges and their system. This is the only way to bring a positive example”, Nishani declared.
The President added that the new generation at the Magistracy School is a contribution in the war against corruption.
“Our justice system has people of high professional, moral and integrity level, but the example is taken by the negative ones. Our procedures should address to the consolidation of positive examples”, Nishani emphasized.
In this meeting were present the US Ambassador, Alexander Arvizu; the EU Ambassador, Ettore Sequi and the OSCE Ambassador, Eugen Wollfarth, who reiterated obedience to the rule of law and respecting of human rights and gender quality.
