Nishani, another decree at the Constitutional Court

Xhezair Zaganjori will lead the Supreme Court, replacing Shpresa Becaj,
whose 9-year mandate has now ended. She was decreed in 2008 by former
President Bamir Topi.

Zakanjori was decreed by the Albanian President, Bujar Nishani, after the consent given by the Parliament.

Zaganjori took his oath before the Supreme Court, but together with this decree the Albanian President, Bujar Nishani, has announced another one, this time for appointing a new member at the Constitutional Court.

His name is Fatos Lulo, and he is expected to spur controversies, since the Constitutional Court has no vacant places for the moment.

The decree was issued by the former President, Bamir Topi, who had appointed Judge Artan Hoxha. This decree has been avoided for years by the Parliament and was never voted.

Although the Albanian President, Bujar Nishani, had promised to respect the decrees of his predecessor, this time he decided to appoint another name for the Constitutional Court. The President justified this with a letter coming from the Parliament Speaker, Jozefina Topalli.
