New super-fines for seat bealts postponed with 5 days

On September 10th will enter in effect the new law that raises fines for
drivers and passengers who don’t use seat belts and child seats. The
new laws fines offenders up to 15.000 ALL and was meant to enter in
effect today for all vehicles produced after 1990.

Drivers who don’t use child seats will also be fined higher or even have their driver license revoked.

“Children under four will have to be fixed on a child seat. Over four, they may stay with a seat belt only. For front seats, all children from 4 to 12 years need to have child seats”, Gjoka explained.
