Agricultural subventions for this year will be distributed based on the
new supportive scheme, which is oriented to the final production of
farmers.
The Directory of the Payment Agency, Suela Popa, announced that the applications for subventions will start today for all farmers in our country.
“We have a 70% budget increase, or 15 million USD that will be dedicated to stimulating production. We are oriented towards the result. Our goal is to guarantee a connection between producers, sellers and consumers”, Popa declared.
The schemes foresee support for the infrastructure, collection, preservation, processing and trading of products, and guarantee the agricultural technology, quality of products and other sectors in which our country has advantages. The effect starts since January 1st 2014.
“The schemes foresee support for small livestock. For the first time we are presenting the financial support for rural development as promoter of agro-tourism through the rehabilitation of century old olive trees. For the first time we will also support the aquaculture, a potential resource that has not been exploited so far”, Popa declared.
