Around 9000 residents who live in the suburbs of Tirana will have now a
paved road thanks to an investment of the Albanian Development Fund.

The lines ish-Uzina e Autotraktoreve-Lana Bregas and Surrel-Farka, are connected with a 6.4 km long road and 5.5 wide, which goes through an informal area that extended after the fall of communism and that will also connect three villages of the Farke and Dajt communes with the capital.

“The ADF investment was financed by the Albanian government. It is a complex investment with roads, pavements, illumination, sewage and drainage water canals that serve to 9000 residents of this informal area in the suburbs of Tirana, turning it into a normal neighborhood of the capital”, declared Benet Beci, executive director of the ADF.

The investment also favors those who want to visit the Dajti National Park with their vehicles, rather than the cableway, since it avoids a great part of the damaged Dajti road with a low cost.

“These two roads serve to the three villages and two communes of Dajti and Farka, and connect them with Tirana, so that they can bring their agricultural goods with a lower transportation cost. A good news for the Tirana citizens is that they can visit the National Park much faster”, Beci declared.

According to Beci, this investment will increase the social-economic development of the area, bringing an easier transportation for the residents and businesses that operate around it, and it directly improves the quality of life
